The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said,"The solidarity of Muslims in their mutual love, mercy and sympathy, is that of a body; if an organ aches, the whole body sympathizes with it with sleeplessness and fever" (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).
I read it just now and my heart turn into more sadly mode. It is a news about big quake shook Padang yesterday, and this was just new disaster after another quake in Tasikmalaya which killed many victims and damaged materials much. The late news reported that crisis center in Padang said 21 people had been killed and 75 were injured in the quake, with thousands displaced by the disaster. Padang Mayor Fauzi Bahar said at least 75 people had been killed in the quake. The quake was recorded as a big quake with 7.6-magnitude! It made damages of buildings, streets, hospitals, and everything.Brothers and sisters, let's put our sympathy into a real action. We are muslim brothers and connected by our religion and our brotherhood. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have declared, "O people! Your Lord is One, your father is one. You are all sons of Adam and Adam is created from dust" (Al-Bukhari). So, the pain of muslims in Padang is our pain too. We have to do something about it, we must support them even with our small deeds. Even with our prays. We hope Allah SWT give them strength to face the disaster and to be patient in the worst condition.
To support them is to give them a help. We can make it by send our help trough many organizations near us which collect fund from muslims to help their brothers and sisters in another places. Let's make an action now, fellows.
